The Entrepreneurship, Technology and Economic Strategy (ETOS) laboratory was founded in 2015 by the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus.

The creation of ETOS serves multiple purposes in order to promote and support innovation and economic development. First, it is an environment that brings together scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs, promoting the exchange of ideas and knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and technology. Secondly, the laboratory conducts research and analyzes concerning the latest developments in economic strategy issues, offering strategic guidelines for businesses and economic operators. Third, it supports educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in the fields of entrepreneurship and technology. Overall, the research laboratory offers a comprehensive support framework for the development and success of business initiatives combined with the utilization of advanced technological developments.
